




Juyoen Hur is the director of the Clinical Neuroscience of Anxiety and Depression (CAD) Lab. Her program of research aims to understand the psychological and neurobiological mechanisms that confer risk for the development and maintenance of anxiety disorders and depression, particularly focusing on the interactive influences of emotion and cognition. She earned her Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign in 2017 (PhD advisors: Howard Berenbaum, Wendy Heller) and completed her clinical internship at the Department of Psychiatry of the University of Wisconsin-Madison School of Medicine and Public Health. She then worked as a postdoc with Dr. Alex Shackman for two and a half years at the University of Maryland, College Park. Currently, she is an Associate Professor in the Department of Psychology at Yonsei University.

Hakin Kim
Hakin is a PhD student in the CAD Lab (joinied Spring, 2022). He received his B.A. in Psychology from Yonsei University. He is broadly interested in how maladaptive emotions affect cognitions and what cognitive processes cause emotional disorders. Outside of research, he loves animations and playing LOL(League of Legend).

Dahyun Won
Dahyun is an M.A. student in the CAD Lab (joined in Spring 2024). She received her B.A. in Psychology and Cognitive Science from Ewha Womans University. Her research interests focus on the neural correlates of mental disorder symptoms, particularly anxiety and depression. Outside of research, she enjoys doodling and listening to rock bands.

Hyerin Oh
Hyerin is an M.A. student in the CAD Lab (joined in Fall 2025). She received her B.A. in Psychology from Yonsei University. Her research interests center on the relationship between stress and internalizing disorders. Outside of research, she enjoys watching Netflix and spending time with friends.

Taeho Ahn
Taeho is an M.A. student in the CAD Lab (joined in Fall 2025). He earned his B.A. in Philosophy and Psychology from Yonsei University. His research focuses on identifying aberrant neural patterns in psychopathology (e.g., anxiety, depression) that can predict future clinical symptoms and help classify different disorders. Outside of research, he really loves playing tennis.


Hayan Kim
Hayan is an M.A. student in the CAD Lab. She received her B.A. in Psychology and Computer Science from Korea University. Her research interests focus on mood disorders, including bipolar disorder, as well as the underlying neural mechanisms and the application of machine learning in mental health research. Outside of her academic work, she enjoys photography, listening to Latin and Japanese music, and writing personal essays.

Nayoung Kim
Nayoung received her M.A. in Clinical Psychology from Yonsei University. She is interested in the neural and cognitive mechanisms behind depression and anxiety, as well as the connection between body dysmorphia and emotional disorders. Outside of research, she is interested in fashion and music, and is a long-standing member of the Yonsei Sailing Team (YYRA).
